PENTICTON, BC, CANADA

In June 2024, ICC and Sierra Planning and Management, were contacted by the City of Penticton to update the previous study presented to the city in 2019. ICC teamed with previous partners Greyback Construction and MAD Design  Studios to update the site master plan, devlop a twin pad ice rink concept plan, relocate the Penticton Curling Club and retrofit McLaren Park Arena. The final report will be submitted to the city in Q1-2025.

IAKS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE, COLOGNE, GERMANY - Rick Kozuback, Guest Presenter

25th Annual International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (“IAKS”) Conference” November 7 – 10, 2017 Cologne Germany. 

ICC President, Rick Kozuback had the honor of presenting to delegates of the IAKS Conference on November 8. The topic of the session was, “Innovative Funding and Delivery Models for Community Sports and Leisure Projects”.

The presentation was moderated by IAKS Vice President, Conrad Boychuk, HDR-CEI Architects and involved a similar presentation from Ron Bidulka, PWC, relative to funding and delivery models for projects in Canada.

The session was well attended and provided the audience with valuable knowledge of how sports facilities; arenas and event centers are developed in North America.

The Conference and accompanying Trade Show prides itself on being one of the largest sports facility conferences of its kind in the world. ICC was honored to be asked to participate in this prestigious event

HARNEY COUNTY, OREGON:

ICC has been retained by the Harney County Fairgrounds, Burns , Oregon to assess the state of their current fairground facilities, address what facilities can be upgraded, assess the needs of the county and develop a plan for future growth of the fairgrounds within the greater Harney County region.

ICC and our partner, Sierra Planning and Management kicked off our initial research in October 2019 with a site visit, community tour and two days of stakeholder meetings.

We are excited to be able to assist the Harney County Fairgrounds with a plan for their future.

ICC in association with Sierra Planning and Management completed their fairgrounds asset assessment and feasibility study in early January and presented such to the Harney County Fairgrounds Board of Directors during their regular session on January 14th. The report was well received by the board. Numerous stakeholder groups and community members were in attendance during the presentation. A good discussion followed the session with both board members and guests posing a variety of questions to the ICC – Sierra Team.

ICC proposed a series of next steps for the Board to consider at their next regularly scheduled meeting. The potential for upgrading the current fairgrounds facilities, replacing several aged facilities and creating new innovative spaces will enhance the quality of life for the residents of Harney County and make their fairgrounds a full twelve month operating entity.

LOUISVILLE ICE ARENA, LOUISVILLE, KY

ICC and Perkins & Will Architects have been retained by the Louisville Arena Company to explore the various site locations for the development of a 6000 seat arena and twin pad community ice rink complex.

PENSACOLA, FL -Proposed Re-Development of Bay Center Site:

INSPIRATION LANDING, SHEFFIELD, AL
ICC in conjunction with, AL Orcutt Winslow Architects has partnered with the developers of Inspiration Landing to create an entertainment centric event center and amphitheater as an anchor to a retail/commercial development planned for Sheffield Alabama.

PENTICTON, BC, CANADA

ICC and team members Sierra Planning and Management, Dialog Design, Meiklejohn Architecture Design Studio and Greyback Construction and Phase 2 of the contract work with the city of Penticton with regards to the site planning, design elements, cost estimating for a possible new twin pad ice rink facility along with the repurposing and renovating of Memorial Arena which was completed in 2018.

PETERBOROUGH, ONTARIO 

ICC in association with Sierra Planning & Managment and Dialog Architects, was awarded a contract to do an initial feasibility study for the development of a new a new multi-purpose event center for the City of Peterborough.  The initial phase was delivered to city council in the fourth quarter of 2018 and council has approved in January of 2019, moving forward with the next phase of the master plan exercise. Consulting services are on-going through 2021.

CHATHAM, ONTARIO

ICC recently completed a short study and cost estimate for the City of Chatham-Kent.  Specifically, ICC provided a short narrative and cost estimate for a twin pad ice rink with one surface featuring 2,000 fixed seats and a 4200-seat multipurpose event center with an attached community ice rink facility.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO

ICC in association with Mountain Architecture Design Group is providing ice arena specifications and procurement for the addition of a second ice surface facility to the existing Howelsen Arena in Steamboat Springs Colorado.

LAREINA HIGH SCHOOL, THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORNIA

ICC in association with Perkins & Will Architects, is in the process of completing master plan exercise and the creation of an arena project to house the potential school's hockey program.

MERLE HAY MALL, DES MOINES, IOWA

ICC has been consulting for the owners of the Merle Hay Mall relative to a redevelopment of an exisiting department store to create a mid-sized arena/event center. In addition to the arena, the concept plan will include the design and development of a volleyball training facility.
